Music at KGS is diverse and seen as an inclusive activity in which all can participate and most importantly, enjoy. There is a busy schedule of concerts and recitals in and outside School providing performance opportunities for soloists and ensembles of all abilities. Housed in the QEII Performing Arts Centre and also in the Lovekyn Chapel, individual music lessons and a great variety of musical activities take place throughout the School day.

We are currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and passionate Teacher of Music to join our esteemed Department. This presents a thrilling opportunity for an individual eager to impart their enriched knowledge and passion for music. It’s a chance to cultivate the talents of the next generation of musicians, fostering an environment where students can freely express themselves through the joy of music. To share ideas and contribute to the co-curricular experience in the wider school community of which music plays a large part.

Staff are remunerated through the Kingston Grammar School salary scale, which tracks significantly above the national scale for teachers.
